Finally decided to jot down my road trip adventures from the Memorial day weekend. Never knew a 3-day weekend would be so action-packed and adventurous. Driving through the 150 degree desert route with my best buddy, and experiencing a certain high whilst passing the snow-clad mountain terrain was perhaps the most amazing experience I have ever had. Convenience of Cloud Computing in Multi-device World...

Most of us spend the most productive hours of our day in front of our screens.
We switch from devices to laptops and vice versa, yet our eyes are locked to our screens. We browse, shop, watch TV shows and movies, read, etc. Human interaction with devices and machines is at its peak these days. And yet we find it extremely difficult to keep track of all activities performed on any given day. There seems to be a lack of continuity and consistency in our interaction and experiences. This is where good UX comes to play.

How often do we shutdown our computers, laptops and other devices - only to reopen tabs or look through history, and regain access to what we were previously looking for. This is not "seamless" interaction. It is disruptive. Ideally, we would all like to access each and every piece of information consistently through all or any of our devices. Is that possible?

Paying bills, tracking a game score, reading emails, getting reminders and meeting requests and syncing all these activities. For years, user experience designers have struggled to produce a seamless approach. This is now beginning to change. We have websites that can track cookies and restore information. We have mobile devices that have become our second screens. These second screens now help us control our TV experiences. Today all of this is possible. Thanks to cloud computing and big data technology.

It excites me great deal to see where all the technology is headed, and how we can optimize this knowledge and create world-class products for a fantastic human-centric experience. A fast changing world where sophisticated technology makes life easy, engaging and that much enriching!
